John Cochran Joins WCG as Of Counsel

Cochran brings a wealth of experience to the firm as Of Counsel.
WCG welcomes John Cochran, formerly of Cochran, Baker, Williams and Matthiesen, LLP. John, as Of Counsel, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, particularly in affordable housing and tax related matters, to WCG.
John is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Commercial Real Estate Law and Residential Real Estate Law. John’s main practice areas are real estate, affordable housing, non-profit and tax. Among John’s varied and reputable clients are Grayco Partners and Covenant Community Capital Corporation (Covenant).
John has represented Grayco Partners, a national multifamily housing developer since it was organized by Jeff Gray in 2006 after 20 years with the Finger Companies, another Houston based national multifamily housing developer. Grayco projects can be found in Houston, Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, Denver, Los Angeles, Charlotte and South Florida.
John has represented Covenant, a Houston based non-profit Community Development Corporation (CDC), since its inception in 1998. Covenant develops new affordable housing using tax credits, HUD loans, conventional loans and recently, a Stimulus Funding loan.
